Dr. Ramin Roufeh is a native Texan who was raised in Richardson and still resides in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He missed Texas greatly, so he came back to Texas A&M for medical school. He then proceeded to complete his internship and residency in Family Medicine at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. After that he elected to pursue further subspecialty training, and he completed a fellowship focused on Sports and Pain Medicine at John Peter Smith as well. He then furthered his education by obtaining a Masters in Business Administration degree from the University of Texas Southwestern and University of Texas at Dallas Alliance for Medical Management Education.
Dr. Roufeh has been in medical practice for 16 years since obtaining his MD degree, and all of his medical practice has served patients in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. He has extensive leadership experience leading hospital and healthcare organizations in multiple different positions. He has served as a Chief Executive Officer, Chief of Staff, and Chief Medical Officer of a local hospital system. Additionally, he has served as Medical Director of 11 separate local Hospitals at different points in his medical career. Dr. Roufeh has also been responsible for the opening and building of 8 separate clinics that provide multiple
different specialty services to patients.
For the past eleven years, Dr. Roufeh has served as a Medical Director for Hospice Plus, New Century Hospice, and Gentiva Hospice in multiple different locations, including Sherman, Gainesville, Lewisville, Greenville, Dallas, and Fort Worth. For the past six years, he has provided care for patients and healthcare leadership as an Executive Medical Director for the largest hospice organization in the United States.
When Dr. Roufeh decided to pursue a career in medicine he had only one goal in mind: to help patients in their time of need in any way that he possibly could. His expertise in family medicine, sports medicine, and pain medicine offers his patients and medical teams a wide variety of experience and knowledge that allow him to provide truly comprehensive care to his patients. His extensive operational leadership experience in multiple different realms of healthcare truly help provide guidance and expertise to all aspects of healthcare teams and organizations.
Dr. Roufeh holds himself responsible for ensuring that every patient’s care wishes are honored, that the healthcare teams he is managing are supported in every way possible, and that the care goals set for each patient are being achieved. Above all else,he strives to assure that the patient’s desire for his or her care is honored. Dr. Roufeh truly cares about his patients and healthcare teams from the bottom of his heart, and he is always ready to do anything he can to help in any way to satisfy every unique need of individual patients and their families in a comprehensive and goal oriented manner.
